About the Mullen EZC

Welcome to the 2010 Mullen High School Football Season!

Dear Mullen Mustangs,

I would like to welcome all players and parents, and the Mullen school community, back for another season of exciting Mullen Mustang football. Returning players, I hope you had a great off–season and you are ready to rededicate yourselves to the sporting spirit and pursuit of excellence that is Mullen football. New players, welcome to the program, we the coaching staff and all of your teammates are looking forward to building on the success of our program with your added talents.

Each of you will receive 2010 Mullen Football Program Information prepared by the End Zone Club. The season schedule, including summer workouts, is included in this information along with important additional materials about how we go about creating a successful and rewarding football experience.

I want to take this opportunity to point out several very important elements of the Mullen football program.

Commitment — The entire coaching staff is very committed to the success of this program. Each season we strive to uphold the tradition of excellence established on the playing field by all who have come before us as we embrace the values of J.K. Mullen High School. We are committed to developing all players as athletes and exemplary young men. We ask all players and parents to joins us in these commitments.

Volunteer Support — We can all observe the obvious activities of players on the field and coaching activities during training, practice, and competition. However, not so obvious, is the massive amount of volunteer activity that goes on throughout the year in support of this program. The End Zone Club is the focal point for much of this activity. I urge each of you to participate in End Zone Club activities, they are vitally important to the success of the Mullen football program.

Athletics and Scholarship — Participation in high school athletics can make an important contribution in the well–rounded development of young adults. Athletic competition can create uniquely challenging learning opportunities. At Mullen High School scholarship and athletics go hand–in–hand, we expect our student–athletes to do their best on the field and in the classroom.

As we begin a new season I, along with my entire coaching and support staff, look forward to working with the 2010 Mustangs, we have great prospects and our sporting spirit and pursuit of excellence will see us through another great season.
